There is a new life-changing vegan life hack going around on TikTok where people are putting blocks of tofu into a waffle maker. While it seems as though many viral TikTok trends are hit or miss, we can confidently say that this one is definitely worth all the hype that it has received. This hack is perfect for anyone who isn’t a huge fan of the consistency of eating cooked tofu on its own, or just wants to switch things up. Plus, it saves you all the hassle of dealing with tofu that’s sticking to the pan. Once you try making tofu this way, it will become the new standard practice in your life.

TikToker @tidywithspark randomly saw this life hack one day on the app and now it has become a standard practice in her life. She walks us through the quick and easy process of this tofu waffle in her video. Once you have your block of tofu ready, cut it into equal parts and transfer them onto a waffle iron. Close the iron and press down, allowing the extra liquid to drain from the tofu pieces. Cook for 5-7 minutes and enjoy! It really is just as easy as her video suggests!

As it turns out, waffle makers are not only good for Sunday morning breakfast. They can also be used for lunch and dinner if you’re in the mood for a savory meal. Luckily, tofu is an extremely versatile blank canvas and can be topped without almost any flavor combo that you’d like. Feel free to get creative endplay around with different sauces and toppings!
