More evidence for a plant-based diet! A TikTok user recently showed a McDonald‘s hamburger and French fries that have allegedly been sitting in a closet since 1996. The worst part? It hasn’t decomposed.
TikTok-er Aly Sherb shared a video of her grandmother sharing a box that is labeled “hamburger.” Her grandmother said she purchased the burger and fries in 1996. Sherb’s grandmother shows off the contents of the box and the result is a bit stomach-turning.

@aly.sherb Make this go viral, y’all #grandparentsoftiktok #mcdonalds #fyp #decadechallenge #foryou #happymeal
It’s unclear which burger she actually ordered, but the burger and bun are intact in the bag, neither shows signs of rotting or decay. And the fries look like they’ve just been sitting in the car for a little while. The video ends with her saying, “24-year-old hamburger, not sure what would happen if you ate it though.”
This video shows more evidence that McDonald’s isn’t actually food, but a complex combination of heavily-processed ingredients. Healthy food rots or decomposes. Conversely, much of the “real food” ingredients in these foods have been replaced with preservatives as well as other artificial and unhealthy ingredients. Consuming large quantities of these preservatives has been linked to health risks, such as colon cancer, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
