A Chicago cat is making the most of his nine lives. A video shows a cat jumping out of a fifth-floor window to escape a fire, and walking away unharmed, NBC News reported.
Chicago Fire Department members took a video of a building exterior when they caught the cat in action. The cat fell while onlookers gasped in fear. The cat landed on all four paws, bounced, and then ran away.
“It went under my car and hid until she felt better after a couple of minutes and came out and tried to scale the wall to get back in,” said fire department spokesman Larry Langford. The cat wasn’t injured, Langford shared and the department is working to reunite the cat with its owner.
No injuries were reported from the fire.
