More than 60 dogs and cats were allegedly discovered living in appalling conditions inside a Maryland property. Animals were reportedly confined in dark basements, garages, and sheds with no ventilation, overcrowded into crates, and forced to endure urine and feces. Veterinarians allegedly found emaciation, broken teeth, untreated infections, parasites, and tick-borne diseases. Some animals required emergency cooling just to survive.
