Sometimes animals find themselves in seriously tricky situations and thankfully, there are brave, kind people to help. Recently, we’ve shared amazing rescue stories of animals from a  baby fox to sheep and more. Now, another incredible rescue took place. A Labrador named Daisy ran in front of a bus and was in a tricky situation that could have taken her life if it weren’t for luck and amazing rescuers.

Daisy ran out in front of a bus on a main road. The bus didn’t have time to stop and hit her and she rolled underneath. She’s incredibly lucky that she didn’t roll under the wheel because she likely would not have survived.

However, firefighters were called and they arrived ready to save her life. East Wittering Watch Commander Steve Pearce said they used high pressure air bags from the fire engines to life the front of the bus and get Daisy to safety.

Pearce says: “She had a few nasty cuts and scratches and was clearly feeling rather battered after her ordeal. She had a blue light escort to the emergency vets thanks to our colleagues at Sussex Police who ensured she was well looked after. We later heard this morning that she is recovering well. She had an incredibly lucky escape.”

It was indeed luck that saved her from rolling under the wheel or from a tragic end to that accident, but it was the work of those firefighters that helped her get to safety where she can now recover!
