Mary Brown’s Chicken and Lightlife have partnered up to put two meatless options on Mary Brown’s menus around Canadian locations: plant-based chicken tenders and the meatless sidekick snack sandwich!
This partnership came into effect as Canadians have shown more interest in plant-based options, specifically meatless alternatives that are fast and tasty.
Jeff Barlow, Mary Brown’s VP of Marketing, said, “We chose to partner with Lightlife because it means everything to us as a brand to serve our Guests plant-based food that meets our extremely high standards for quality and taste.”
Dan Curtin, President of Greenleaf Foods, SPC, said, “Lightlife is committed to making plant-based eating more accessible and is excited to partner with Mary Brown’s to now offer their Guests something they can enjoy without compromise: delicious and satisfying breaded plant-based menu options made with simple ingredients they can feel good about.”
This new addition to Mary Brown’s menu will give customers even more diverse options. This also comes at a perfect time as so many people are trying veganism for Veganuary.
It’s important to note that while these new options are made with plant-based tenders, they are not suitable for everyone. The sauces used in the sandwiches are not vegan and the plant-based chicken tenders are cooked in shared fryers with meat options.
Reducing your meat intake and eating more plant-based foods is known to help with chronic inflammation, heart health, mental wellbeing, fitness goals, nutritional needs, allergies, gut health, and more! Unfortunately, dairy consumption also has been linked to many health problems, including acne, hormonal imbalance, cancer, prostate cancer, and has many side effects.
For those interested in eating more plant-based, we highly recommend purchasing one of our plant-based cookbooks or downloading the Food Monster App which has thousands of delicious recipes making it the largest vegan recipe resource to help reduce your environmental footprint, save animals and get healthy! And, while you are at it, we encourage you to also learn about the environmental and health benefits of a plant-based diet.
