KFC and Beyond Meat are kicking off 2022 with the much anticipated Beyond Fried Chicken! The finger-licking good beyond fried chicken was created by Beyond Meat exclusively for KFC.

Kevin Hochman, president, KFC U.S, said, “The mission from day one was simple – make the world-famous Kentucky Fried Chicken from plants. And now, over two years later, we can say, ‘mission accomplished.’”
On January 10th, the new menu item will make its nationwide debut in US KFC locations while supplies last. KFC did a similar launch in 2019, during which its first plant-based fried chicken option sold out within 5 hours.
Since then, the demand for more vegan alternatives has only grown, indicating that this new release will find equal amounts of success.
Ethan Brown, Founder, and CEO, Beyond Meat, said, “We couldn’t be prouder to partner with KFC to offer a best-in-class product that not only delivers the delicious experience consumers expect from this iconic chain but also provides the added benefits of plant-based meat. We are truly thrilled to make it available to consumers nationwide.”
It is important to note that the release specifies that the plant-based chicken is “not prepared in a vegan/vegetarian manner,” since it is cooked in shared fryers with meat products.
