Dog Survives For Weeks with Plastic Feeder Stuck on His Head

This Alabama dog survived for weeks with a plastic feeder stuck to his head. The pup is now being looked after at the Bay Minette Animal Clinic.

The poor dog spend as much as three weeks with a plastic feeder stuck on his head.

“We’re not sure how long he had that on him,” Animal Control Officer Ashlynn Hale said. “He probably got it eating out of trash cans. He didn’t have a regular source of food.”

The Animal Control Officer first started receiving reports of a stray bulldog mix in October. Hale was not able to catch him, but about three weeks ago, AL reported that residents in the area spotted the dog again, but this time with a jug stuck on his head.

Luckily, the jug was worn down in an area, so the hole allowed him to get some food and water. Finally, Hale was able to catch Jughead, as they call him, and it took some police officers and a pair of cutters to get the jug off of his head.

He went for a vet check-up and seemed to be in good spirits and healthy condition. Hale confirmed that he would be headed to a new home for adoption in a few weeks.
