Delanie Dennis raised over $43,000 for animal rescues, sanctuaries, and charities in just the last few years. At the age of seven, Delanie Dennis founded Delanie’s Lemonade Stand in her parents’ restaurant, Cafe Delanie, according to the ASPCA. Thanks to an inspiring animal welfare organization commercial and a book about a girl who ran a lemonade stand, Delanie decided to start raising money for animal rescue organizations. Each month, she chooses a new local animal rescue organization that receives 100 percent of the sales of designated items at the stand and restaurant.
The ASPCA reported that in just three years, she helped raise and Donate over $43,000 to these rescues. In 2021, she hosted her first adoption fair, which featured 29 local animal rescues and resulted in over 30 animal adoptions. She volunteers at rescue organizations and believes there’s “no limit to what a kid can do to Support animals in need.”
Her second Squeeze the Day Animal Adoption Fair is happening this Sunday at Tampa’s Dallas Bull at 11 am, and admission is free. To learn more about her event, check out Cafe Delanie.
