Major is back in the White House! Major, the Bidens’ German Shepherd was involved in a biting incident a few weeks ago. The Associated Press (AP) reported that Major will be back in the White House soon.
President Biden discussed the incident in an interview. He called 3-year-old rescue “a sweet dog,” and explained the biting incident by sharing that Major, “turned a corner, there’s two people he doesn’t know at all, you know, and they move and moves to protect.” He also added that “85% of the people there love him.”

Major was moved to the Biden’s Delaware home after the incident but Biden said it was because the family was also going to Delaware. “He was going home,” Biden said. “I didn’t banish him to home. Jill was going to be away for four days. I was going to be away for two, so we took him home.”

The President also shared that Major was “being trained now.” Major is the first rescue dog in the White House.
