Animal Enforcement Officer Accused of Abandoning Dog

An animal enforcement officer is facing several cases of animal cruelty charges against her for abandoning her dog after moving homes.

Jennifer Lynn George, whose job would most likely include investigating cases of animal cruelty and taking care of abused animals, is now on trial for ironically being the perpetrator.

She moved out of her mobile home in December of 2020 due to tax forfeiture. Recently, a man went to look into buying the property finding a deceased german shepherd inside of the mobile home.

George told authorities that the dog could not walk up or down the mobile home stairs and died of old age. She also said that she occasionally brought him food and water but often left him alone for weeks and months at a time.

The animal enforcement officer was released on a $10,000 bail and is awaiting trial for her animal abuse charges.

There is no excuse that can be given to cover up the horrid abuse done to that dog as he withered away, trapped in his own feces with no way of escaping.

This is a horrific case of animal cruelty that is completely senseless and horrific. There is never any reason why someone should ever do something like this to their pet. There are always other options, such as surrendering one’s pet to a shelter, rather than just abandoning them.
