R&B singer Jaheim Hoagland has been charged with animal cruelty after police found 15 dogs at his New Jersey home living in horrible conditions.

The police had originally gone to Hoagland’s home because there had been reports of a puppy in distress. Upon arrival, they found 6 dogs wandering in the driveway. The officers went inside his home after hearing distressed barking, where they found several more dogs in varying degrees of starvation. No food or water was in sight. Some of the crates were filled with feces and water.

The dogs were quickly taken to get medical help as they were all emaciated and in terrible health. 14 of the 15 dogs survived and are currently being rehabilitated. One dog who was discovered in a water-filled crate had to be euthanized.

Jaheim Hoagland, was charged with third-degree animal cruelty and the failure to provide necessary care for his animals. He was arrested, and his court hearing is currently pending.

There is no answer to why he kept these poor dogs in such deplorable conditions and has been unavailable to answer any questions so far.
