How to Make Homemade Vegan Yogurt

  1. Add all of the ingredients, except for the probiotics and to a high-speed blender and blend well.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
  3. Now, open the probiotic capsules and add them using a wooden or silicon spoon (this ensures that the benefits of the good bacteria are not lost). Stir the yogurt for a couple of minutes to incorporate the probiotics.

Benefits of Probiotics

We’ve all heard about the benefits of probiotics for re-establishing and maintaining gut integrity and optimal health. What is the purpose of probiotics?

Probiotics are “good” bacteria/live cultures found naturally in many everyday foods that thrive in the human gut. These specific functional components of foods may improve health and lead to an advantageous intestinal microflora environment. Probiotics do this by helping to change or repopulate intestinal bacteria to balance gut flora. They also help break down and digest food, produce vitamins, and suppress other harmful microbes. Vegan yogurt can be the home of many probiotics.

Coconut Yogurt is such a good probiotic option for anyone, especially if you are vegan or dairy-free! If you haven’t already, try out this homemade coconut yogurt and start building some breakfast parfaits!
