Swiss retail and grocery giant, Migros has announced that they will be releasing their first plant-based hard-boiled egg.

This new product, called The Boiled, is just another product entering the grocery store’s line of plant-based foods. The line is called V-Love and offers all kinds of vegan-friendly options.

This plant-based hard-boiled egg is created with 14 different ingredients, the main one being soy, where all of the protein comes from.

The Swiss Daily newspaper said, “How does it taste? Amazingly similar to the original. Only the consistency of the protein differs more strongly. It has less bite. The egg yolk, on the other hand, has the floury-soft consistency, the yellow color, confusingly similar.”

Though Migros has called its new product the first vegan hard-boiled egg made with soy, other companies have also released vegan eggs. So, they are not necessarily the first company to do so.

Plant-based eggs have become just one of the latest vegan products to grow in popularity. As more and more companies are starting to release their own versions.

Options are becoming increasingly available to any egg lovers who would like to choose the kinder option. As the egg industry is just as cruel as the meat industry, with chicken living out their lives in horrible conditions.
