Everyone knows that the only thing better than a cookie is a massive cookie! This soft-baked, delicious vegan dessert recipe is sure to amaze you. This easy-to-make Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet will be your new favorite weeknight treat and is big enough to share with all your friends and family. But, we promise that you won’t want to share, it’s just that good.
Ingredients you’ll need
- 1 vegan egg
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup melted vegan margarine
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of sea salt
- 3/4 cup vegan chocolate chips
- Dairy-free whipped cream (optional for topping)
- Dairy-free ice cream (optional for topping)
Preparation
1. Start by preheating the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a large cast-iron skillet.
2. To a large bowl, add the vegan egg and allow it to set for a couple of minutes.
3. Add the brown sugar and maple syrup to the bowl and combine. Add the melted vegan margarine and dairy-free milk and whisk until well combined.
4. Fold in the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sea salt, chocolate chips) and mix well with the wet ingredients until combined.
5. Transfer the cookie dough mixture to the lightly-greased cast iron skillet and lightly flatten it.
6. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
7. Let it cool and serve with ice cream, dairy-free whipped cream, and any other toppings that you’d like.
