Beyond Meat Donates One Million Plant-Based Burgers to Healthcare Workers

Beyond Meat announced in a Facebook post that it would help coronavirus relief by donating over a million Beyond Burgers to hospital workers and others.

The initiative called ” Feed A Million+” will distribute over a million of the brand’s signature plant-based Beyond Burgers to hospitals, community centers and organizations working on coronavirus relief.

The announcement on the company’s website said, “Our goal has always been to use food as a vehicle for change and we’re fortunate to be in a position to put that into action now like never before. Our hope is that this donation will help make lives easier and contribute to the strong sense of community that is so vitally important during these unprecedented times.”

Beyond Meat is known for their plant-based meats sold in stores and found at places like Dunkin, Starbucks and Golden Krust. 

Beyond Meat joins many other organizations and people donating to coronavirus relief, including Kyrie Irving, Rihanna, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
