BlackPink recently made an appearance on the Youtube original, Dear Earth. Urging people to take the climate crisis seriously and start making lifestyle changes.

The Kpop group was just one of the many special guests that made an appearance on the Youtube original that aired on October 23.

Lisa from BlackPink said, “The way things are going, there may be no planet left to save.”

They performed their 2016 single “Stay” as a part of the original video. Drawing there many thousands of fans to the video to bring more awareness to the pressing environmental issue.

Many other public figures such as Billie Eilish and climate activist Jack Harries were also given a place in the video. In the hopes of drawing a younger crowd to watch the educational video on what is happening with the earth right now.

In September, YouTube’s global head of original content, Susanne Daniels said, “It would inspire and motivate audiences to create a better, healthier, existence for the planet through contributions from a wide range of global leaders, creators, celebrities, and musicians.”

The video reached millions of viewers who tuned in from around the world. Presenting the dangers of climate change that we are currently experiencing. In an easy-to-digest way, so that more awareness on the pressing issues could be gained.
