The founder of Greener, Tom Ferrier, wants to help consumers and businesses understand sustainability and how their purchases can reduce their emissions.
Greener is an app that links to the user’s bank account and shows them their carbon impact and gives them suggestions on how they can make better choices and help the planet. They even give suggestions on how to shop greener based on potential purchases for 250+ brands, Tech Crunch reports.
“For consumers, it is as simple as downloading the app and securely connecting their bank account using our open banking technology partner Basiq, to start tracking their carbon footprint [of every dollar spent],” Ferrier said. “Once a new user signs up to Greener, open banking technology alongside data and expertise from the world’s leading climate scientists enables the Greener app to instantly calculate the greenhouse gas emissions of the user’s spending.”
For Businesses, Greener tailors suggestions on how to reduce their carbon footprint based on the size, type, business model, and current sustainable activities.
Greener is launching soon, and you can join the waitlist and read more about the company at www.getgreener.com.
