A Fort Bend County dog trainer is currently under investigation after a disturbing video surfaced on social media. The video revealed the dog trainer slamming a dog on the ground during a training session.
The video was allegedly recorded at the TyCalK9 Dog Training Center in Arcola, but the facility has refused to make any comments on the situation. The facility boasts its many celebrity clients on its website, giving off the impression that it is a high-class dog training company.
The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s office released a statement saying, “The District Attorney’s Office is actively investigating an animal cruelty report regarding a video on social media depicting the alleged mistreatment of a dog in Fort Bend County. We cannot share the details as the investigation is ongoing, but we take these matters seriously and do not condone the mistreatment of animals in any regard. A thorough investigation by experienced animal cruelty investigators and prosecutors is underway.”
The Houston SPCA has also offered to assist in the investigation to find out if there are any more instances of abuse. Since the investigation started, the dog training center has removed most of its online presence.
