When @tatyana.jade and her partner took a vacation to Italy, they could have never imagined the sweetest kitten that they would meet on their adventure. The couple found the kitten on the side of the road. He was barely moving, and his eyes were closed shut because of an infection. They saved him from the side of the road and took him to their Airbnb. They cleaned his eyes and started to give him food so that he could regain some strength. They named him Rambo because “he’s a fighter,” the TikTok text read.
@tatyana.jade tiktok do your thing pleaseeeee 😭🙏🏼🐱 if anyone is flying from ROME to MONTREAL this Friday, please get in touch with me!!! #animalrescue #animalrescuestory #catrescue #kittensoftiktok #kittenrescuestory #animalsoftiktok #animalshelter #rescuecat #rescueanimal #rescueanimalsofinstagram #catsoftiktok #catlovers #animalsurvival #kittenrescue #kittentok #montrealtiktok #aircanadatoronto
They noticed that the kitten’s eyes continued to get worse, so they took him to the pharmacy to get medication since the veterinary offices were closed on the weekend. They got him some eye drops to hopefully help and even introduced him to a neighbor cat named Bruno to hopefully get his spirits up.
Then, something unexpected happened. The next night when they were driving, they found another kitten on the road! The kitten, now named Rizzo, had an eye infection as well that was even worse than Rambos. They started giving them medication and the two kittens began getting comfortable with each other.
Now you won’t believe this, but they found yet another kitten two days later! This kitten, named Rosie, was in the worst state of them all. Finally, they were able to take all three kittens to the vet, who gave them antibiotics and said they would all likely go blind.
@tatyana.jade Replying to @Lívia Grinberg for everyone asking, we are still in Italy and we fly home Friday, September 30th! we are still looking for someone to fly the 3rd kitten home 🤞🏼🐱 #animalrescue #kittensoftiktok
The kitten’s eyes finally started to get better, and they made another appointment to hopefully be able to bring the kittens back to Canada to get them adopted. The vet was shocked at how well their eyes were doing and said their eyesight would most likely be saved. However, to get them all back to Canada, they needed help. They could only bring two of the kittens in the cabin, so they reached out on TikTok to hopefully find someone that was flying to Montreal that could take the third kitten.
@tatyana.jade our last morning in calabria, we took all 3 kittens to the beach to watch the sunrise 🌅 I love doing life with you @iamchrisjames #sunrise #kittenrescue #kittenrescuestory #specialmoments #sunriseview #rescuecat #rescuestory
Support poured out from the community and luckily, Air Canada reached out and they were able to bring all three kittens!

According to national estimates, approximately 6.3 million companion animals are abandoned and enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. In the US alone over 5.4 million cats are killed on the side of the road. If you happen to notice a cat on the side of the road, whether or not the animal is injured, safely put on the hazard lights and pull your car completely off the road before attempting to rescue them, says the Humane Society.
