    Ingredients You Need for Sweet and Salty Veggie Burger [Vegan]

    For the Burgers:

    • 2 vegan burger patties of your choice
    • 2 burger buns of your choice, toasted
    • 4 strips of smoky rice paper bacon (recipe below)
    • 1 ripe avocado, cut into thin slices
    • 1/3 cup pickled red onions
    • 3 tablespoons mustard
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

    For the Rice Paper Bacon:

    • 8 sheets of rice paper, white or brown
    • 2 tablespoons vegan Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
    • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
    • 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup
    • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
    • Salt and pepper, to taste

    How to Prepare Sweet and Salty Veggie Burger [Vegan]

    1. Prep ahead by making a batch of Smoky Rice Paper Bacon beforehand or make a batch and bake it with the burgers.
    2. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
    3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and add your patties, frozen. Bake until cooked through, about 10 minutes.
    4. During the last few minutes of the burgers cooking, add your burger buns to toast alongside them.
    5. While those are finishing, mix together your mustard and maple syrup to make a sweet and tangy sauce.
    6. Serve hot, assembled with the base bun topped with a veggie burger, pickled red onions, two slices of rice paper bacon snapped in half, a few avocado slices, and a drizzle of the sweet mustard.
