Cooking Time

Ingredients

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 15 carrots, peeled
  • 5 almond slices

Preparation

  1. To make the hummus: Place the garlic in a food processor and process until chopped. Add the chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, cumin, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt and blend until smooth.
  2. Cut 5 carrot tips to finger length. Cut the remaining carrots into sticks.
  3. Cut a flat and shallow notch at the top of each carrot finger. Fill the notch with a tiny bit of hummus to hold an almond slice fingernail.
  4. Place the hummus in a serving bowl and stick the Halloween fingers into the hummus so it looks like a hand coming out of the bowl. Surround with carrot sticks and serve.
