Huge news, Nando’s fans! The hugely popular international dining chain was rumored to be on the precipice of launching two new plant-based burgers later this week, and guess what? It happened!
For those who are unacquainted with Nando’s, it is an international chain restaurant that pretty much revolves around chicken and its special Peri-Peri sauce, so this new stride toward plant-based inclusivity is a massive step in the right direction.

“Whether it’s the Sweet Potato and Butternut Burger, packed full of the good stuff like sweet potato, butternut, red pepper, onion and edamame beans, or the Supergreen Burger, combining everything from broccoli to edamame beans to kale, veggie fans are in for a treat. Available as a burger, pitta or wrap, these winter-blues banishers are sure to be a hit!” Nando’s said in a press release.
The burgers are 100 percent vegetarian and can be made vegan simply by requesting that they leave off the mayo.
All of the new items will be available from Nando’s in England from October 17 on — so, go get your cheeky Nando’s now!
Even if you don’t have a Nando’s near you, that doesn’t mean you need to miss out on digging into a delicious, autumn-themed, plant-based burger. Our Food Monster App totally has your back with these:

This Butternut Squash Burger by Gabrielle St. Claire packs all the best fall veggies and herbs while making sure to include tons of nutrients and no processed ingredients. The recipe uses affordable ingredients and requires minimal effort. If you have an affinity for fall eats then this burger will be your saving grace.

The Green Vegetable Burger by Melanie Sorrentino is made from just green vegetables, like peas, kale, and broccoli! Because these are bean-free burgers, these are not super hearty … But that just means you can have more fries! If you want green burgers with more bulk, add mashed beans to this.

This Vegetable Samosa Burger by Sheil Shukla is inspired by the classic Indian samosa. It’s packed with veggies and savory spices and it’s so easy to make. Pair with chutney or ketchup on a toasty bun with a side of sweet potato fries.
