A pair of bonded dogs were found abandoned at a library in Greenwood County, South Carolina with nothing but a bone infested with ants. The older dog had been tied to a post. The younger puppy remained with him, despite not being tied up. Fortunately, the bonded dogs were found, and taken to the Humane Society of Greenwood. A viral video posted to TikTok by user @chelseahoover3 shows the two dogs’ journey.
@chelseahoover3 Some says suck as an animal control officer today was not one of them! We were able to get two pups adopted together that were found together! #animalsoftiktok #animalrescuer #animals #animalshelter #animalrescue #newstart #newfamily #pitbullsoftiktok #happyending
In the video, the two dogs can be seen as they were found. The duo looks scared and confused. The officer tosses the dogs a treat as the situation is assessed. The video then cuts to the moment the two dogs were reunited. Unfortunately, due to the age of the puppy, the two dogs needed to be housed separately while at the shelter. Staff had to assume the puppy had not yet been vaccinated. But, after two weeks when the puppy received vaccines, the bonded dogs were reunited. The video shows the older dog’s excitement upon seeing the puppy again.
Luckily, this story has a happy ending. According to a staff member at the Humane Society of Greenwood, the dogs were adopted together! Now, this pair of bonded dogs get to live out their days together in a loving home.
