Yoga — the ancient practice of bending and twisting to find inner peace — dates back more than 5,000 years ago in the East. Nowadays, it’s popularity has taken hold of Western society and it’s only growing stronger each day with unconventional yoga classes popping up everywhere.
Speaking of strong, practicing yoga will make you stronger! It can help you release stress, find inner peace, lose weight, and fight insomnia. Yoga can also bring out the compassion in you, on and off the mat.
What’s great about the practice is that you can literally do it everywhere — in trains, planes, and cars — and it doesn’t have to cost you a penny! What’s more, anyone can do yoga!
From prenatal yoga to yoga offered at homeless shelters, one of the newest rages is “doga” or dog yoga. Who better to do a downward facing dog than a dog itself?!
