Charlie, an eight-year-old resident of Glastonbury, Somerset, is set to conquer Mount Snowdon on Sunday, June 30, all for a noble cause – helping local wildlife. Teaming up with his mother, who is embarking on her own three peaks challenge, Charlie aims to raise funds for Secret World Wildlife Rescue, a dedicated charity in Highbridge.
At just over 3,280 miles in elevation, Mount Snowdon poses a challenge for any climber, let alone a young boy. However, driven by his passion for wildlife and his admiration for the work of Secret World Wildlife Rescue, Charlie is undeterred.
Expressing his motivation, Charlie emphasized the significance of Secret World in safeguarding British wildlife. “Secret World is important to me because it’s full of wildlife, and I love all animals,” he shared. He highlighted the critical role the organization plays in rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing wild animals, who often find themselves in distress due to human-made obstacles like fences and litter.
Charlie’s commitment to the cause shines through his determination to raise funds to Support Secret World’s efforts. His JustGiving page has already seen remarkable Support, surpassing his initial target of £250. With each step up Mount Snowdon, Charlie symbolizes the power of compassion and the impact even the youngest among us can have in making a difference.
As Charlie prepares to ascend Mount Snowdon, accompanied by his trusty badger mascot named David, the community rallies behind him, cheering for his success. To join Charlie’s mission and contribute to his cause, visit his JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/page/jo-webv-1713466124740.
