Dog Refuses to Walk on Wooden Floors & Internet Backs Her Up

In the video, Ellie can be seen navigating through the house using a series of area rugs. She also receives some assistance from her humans. They pick her up so she doesn’t need to walk on the wooden floor.

The internet loved Ellie and backed up the dog’s decision to avoid walking on wooden floors. Many pointed out that hardwood floors can be scary or painful to senior pups who have a hard time maintaining their balance on them. TikTok user cbreez wrote, “Senior dogs really do struggle on hard floors & get very scared after experiencing falls.” Others joked about the situation, with one user saying, “If they don’t IMMEDIATELY replace those runners with red carpet, then I’ll be upset”. Yet another joked that Ellie is simply playing the “Longest game of ‘The Floor is Lava’ ever. She’s the champ.”
