Two senior dogs were reunited after nine years apart. The adorable reunion was captured on video and shared to the TikTok account @xjessxjx.

The senior dogs are both over eleven years old. One is a Cocker Spaniel named Ruby and the other is a Whippet and Italian Greyhound mix named Mia. As puppies, the two met in a chance encounter at the park. Quickly, they became best friends and often played together. Sadly over time, the families lost contact. However, Ruby’s human shared that the Spaniel never forgot her friend. “She still remembers her friend’s name” and “Every time she’d see a whiggy, she would think it was her friend,” shares heartbreaking text overlay on the video. 

Eventually, the two humans reconnected via social media, and the two senior dogs were reunited. The video shows Ruby excitedly waiting to see Mia again. When she spots her friend, she instantly runs up to her; this is something her human says she never does. The two long-lost friends can be seen sniffing each other with wagging tails. The video also shares throwback footage of the two dogs playing together as well as snapshots from their reunion.
