How to Make Cashew Cream [Vegan]

This Recipe is :

Dairy Free Vegan

  • 1 cup raw cashews

  1. Put cashews in a bowl and cover with cold water. Soak for 4 hours.
  2. Drain cashews. Place in a high-powered blender or food processor.
  3. Cover with cold water and blend until smooth. Use less water for a thicker cashew cream. I’ve also used non-dairy milk instead of water for an extra creamy sauce.

Use it on certain desserts, use it as a fruit dip, many ways. Just stop and think for a moment. Soon you won't be able to keep enough on hand. What a great recipe. Thank you- one green planet for sharing.....c

I LOVE cashew cream but get an upset stomach whenever I eat it... I'm fine eating cashew butter and cashews, but cashew cream sauce makes me really ill. Any ideas why? Does anyone else have this experience?

Do you eat it on its own or what?

It's creamy heaven in a bowl. Can't believe I waited so long to try it.

I use it in everything that substitutes dairy. I only use raw cashews. It has fat so it lends well to balance out a lot of dishes. You can make cream soups, béchamel sauce, frozen cream or whipped cream with it. Changed my cooking completely.
