Whether it's plain, roasted red pepper, black bean, or roasted pine nuts, chances are it's going to taste great with raw veggies or slathered on a piece of toast. In this particular recipe, parsley is the main ingredient and gives this zesty hummus a bright green color. Enjoy this hummus when you're in need of a refreshing and detoxifying snack!

Detox Parsley Hummus [Vegan]

3 cups


  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 cups chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cup parsley, packed
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt, to taste


  1. Place the garlic in a food processor and process until chopped.
  2. Add the chickpeas, lemon juice, parsley, almond butter, olive oil, water, cumin, black pepper, and salt and blend until the hummus is smooth. Add water as needed.
