Jon Jones, the UFC fighter, spoke to TMZ Sports about his nearly vegan diet to prepare for an upcoming fight against Dominick Reyes.
Speaking to TMZ, Jones shared, “About 80% of my meals have gone plant based now. I switched up my diet a little bit, I started eating plant based. Cardio feels great, I’m lighter than I normally am. Normally I weigh at least 222 around this time. Right now I’m already 215. So I’m ahead of schedule majorly in my weight cut, which just allows me to focus on happiness and relaxation, and I just feel perfect.”

The diet is a switch for previous meat-eater Jones, who promoted ButcherBox, a meat company, on Instagram in 2019. He joins UFC fighters Nate and Nick Diaz in promoting a vegan diet. Tennis star Nick Kyrgios also recently announced a transition to a plant-based diet.
