Racing champion, Lewis Hamilton has raved about his vegan diet in the past, crediting it with feeling so mentally and physically strong! He’s a producer on the upcoming, long awaited documentary, Game Changers, in which some of the world’s strongest and fastest athletes explain the benefits of being vegan. He also describes himself as an “animal lover.” Hamilton is taking his passion for vegan food and putting it into an international vegan burger chain called Neat Burger!
Within two years, Neat Burger will have 14 locations around the world. On September 2nd, the first one will be opening in London! The restaurant is the result of a partnership between Hamilton, Cream Group, and Beyond Meat’s Tommaso Chiabra for the project.
So far, the menu includes three burgers: The Neat, The Cheese, and The Chick’n. There’s also The Hot Dog and the sides like skinny fries, sweet potato fries, and tater tots. The restaurant’s Instagram bio says “Plant based, sustainable burgers-dedicated to feeding you with one hand & saving the world with the other.” So they’re staying true to that by stocking Just Water, Jaden Smith’s eco-friendly water brand. There will also apparently be “ethical Lemonaid sodas and dairy-free, soft serve, coconut and soya-based milkshakes.”

Beyond Meat’s Tomasso Chiabra says: “The meat industry is the biggest contributor to greenhouse emissions and its environmental impact is no longer sustainable together with the growth of population. Neat Burger aims to disrupt the non-sustainable food industry and become a force for good.”
Lewis Hamilton says, “I’m very passionate about being kinder to our world and also really respect Neat Burger’s commitment to more ethical practices and supporting small businesses, so this is something I’m also really proud to Support… As someone who follows a plant-based diet, I believe we need a healthier high street option that tastes amazing but also offers something exiting to those who want to be meat-free every now and again.”
This is exciting news for those who follow a plant-based diet and those who like to dabble in vegan meals. If all goes according to plan, there will be plenty of Neat Burgers around the world to check out!

1. Smoky Pinto Bean-Beet Burgers

Source: Smoky Pinto Bean-Beet Burgers
A homemade veggie burger is a welcome alternative to beef—at least in theory. But too many are either mushy or dry and lack flavor. For a modern burger with superior composition, we stepped beyond run-of-the-mill bean patties and combined pinto beans with sweet, earthy beets, rich walnuts, and chewy bulgur. This Smoky Pinto Bean-Beet Burgers from Nutritious Delicious not only delivered fantastic texture and flavor, but amassed an enviable nutritional profile for a burger: protein and fiber from beans, minerals and vitamins from the bulgur and beets, and omega-3 fatty acids from the walnuts. Carrot baby food (conveniently pureed) provided an unconventional but effective binder that lent the patties a subtle sweetness. Any brand of plain carrot baby food will work here. Use a coarse grater or the shredding disk of a food processor to shred the beet. When shopping, don’t confuse bulgur with cracked wheat, which has a much longer cooking time.
