Happy National Biscuits and Gravy Day! Biscuits and gravy are a classic, Southern comfort food. They are often eaten for breakfast in the South but are also a lovely side dish, especially during the holidays!

They are an unsweet scone, really, and therefore perfect for any kind of topping from jelly to a dab of vegan spread to even a dollop of peanut butter. Or you can, of course, serve them up with any spicy gravy and a side of mashed potatoes. Yum!

The herby, cheesy biscuits go perfectly with the indulgent and sweet truffle maple syrup.

They are best fresh, warm, and straight out of the oven, but if you make hem the day ahead, simply warm them in the oven prior to serving. With the addition of herbs and a delicious gravy, this is a fantastic addition to any holiday table.
10. Breakfast Andouille Sausage With Biscuits
To make Ayinde Howell‘s Breakfast Andouille Sausage With Biscuits, you can prep the sausage a day or two in advance, and the biscuits are pretty quick as well. They can also be made in advance and frozen, then defrosted when you need them.
