Current Foods is currently rebranding itself as it enters the plant-based seafood market with a new and exciting products: plant-based sushi-grade seafood.
Time magazine named Current Food’s plant-based tuna as one of 2021’s best inventions. Now it is back with more exciting products meant to imitate and take the place of traditional seafood.
The plant-based tuna and salmon has only been available in select restaurants, but now it will be available for purchase. Current Foods has even opened a website specifically for the waitlist for its salmon and tuna.
To mimic the taste of seafood, Current Food’s uses “algae, bamboo, peas, and radish.” It also has a high-protein content because of the peas, and it has many crucial vitamins, including B12 and omega-3 DHA.

The 100% plant-based seafood is loaded with protein and vitamins as well as minerals. It is startlingly similar to real seafood and is the perfect vegan substitution.
