Las Vegas is notoriously remembered for its bright lights, entertainment, and jaw-dropping food, but it is additionally, as of late, becoming a mecca for plant-based dining! With vegan eateries popping up all over the city, there are many business owners looking to become involved in the scene.

That is why one savvy couple, Monica and Anibal Flores, have decided to open up a vegan hot dog cart in the heart of the city. The new pop up food cart will be called Phyto’s Vegan Eats, and will feature convenient, and delicious vegan comfort foods.

Monica Flores remarks that, “When transitioning to veganism it’s a little bit tougher getting those comfort foods that you want, especially on the street, so we decided why don’t we open up a hot dog cart.” Monica and Anibal also explain that being able to create vegan food that the community can enjoy is very rewarding, and allows them to spend time together doing what they are passionate about.

Phyto’s Vegan Eats currently has three hot dogs on the menu, each with very distinct flavors, but they are looking to expand their menu with items like a cheeseburger taco. While they are very happy with their food cart business, they hope to one day open up their own vegan restaurant.

Monica and Anibal’s vegan hot dog cart isn’t the only plant-based eatery in Las Vegas. In fact, there’s over 24 vegan restaurants, pop-ups, and concepts located within the city. Creative director of Vegenation, Kelly Bennett, comments that, “as an ethical vegan myself, it’s cool to see Vegas really become the epicenter of plant-based eating!”
