It’s not a safe world for two homeless dogs to be running rampant in, especially when they’re roaming near the busy streets of Atlanta, Georgia, but that’s exactly what was happening when a kind-hearted passerby spotted the duo. Instead of leaving them where they were, she decided to intervene by taking them home and trying to figure out where they belonged.
Things didn’t necessarily go smoothly at first, as can be the case with dogs who have probably experienced trauma in the time leading up to their rescue. Tragically, dogs can be subjected to fighting operations, puppy mills, experimentation and plain old irresponsible ownership which can make it tricky to try and find them the right forever home once their ordeal is over. They need a guardian with patience, kindness, understanding and the time it takes to help rehabilitate them.
It seems to us like these two Atlanta dogs found just that, at least if the awesome Craigslist ad their rescuer put out regarding them is any indication.
Bravo, kind and hilarious soul! Thank you on behalf of rescue dogs everywhere for spreading the word that we should never turn our backs when we see a homeless animal and that people who abuse or abandon them are due a solid ass kicking.

Hate!…. We don’t know the circumstances these dogs were in. Although the dogs should not have been in this position, where is the campassion? You show dogs compassion, but not for your brothers and sisters in Christ. And then people love this post. How about we love everything God has made. Could it be that maybe the owner was sick and couldn’t provide? How about not assuming the worst of a person. Find out before you accuse someone. I pray that you may learned to love and not spread hate.
There is no excuse for some things. You were probably one of the people who sat and prayed for the evil ones who flew into the two towers in NY. Get real.
If you leave your much loved animal at a shelter, or in the care of a friend/relative because you know you are doing right by that animal and they will have a chance at a better life, then you have my compassion and deepest sympathy. To give up something you love, because you know you can\’t give it what it needs and deserves must be a terrible thing.
But if you choose to dump it to fend for itself in the hope that someone kinder than you might rescue it, knowing full well that it may die horribly of thirst, hunger, exposure, heatstroke, illness or horrific injury in an altercation with a car, another animal or an abusive human before rescue ever comes, then I\’m sorry for whatever circumstances you are in, but you do not deserve my compassion.
Giving up an animal to another is a hard thing to do and it is a sign of desperation in a lot of cases. Dumping an animal isn\’t a sign of desperation – its wilfully cruel. No less cruel than taking it out and shooting it, or putting it in a sack and throwing it in a river. Dumping it is saying: "I don\’t care if it suffers, I don\’t care if it lives or dies, I just don\’t want it to be my problem any more".
That’s fantastic!!
