When Sohan came across a street dog with a massive head wound, he did not react as most little boys would. Rather than being appalled at the sight of an injured pup, Sohan reached out and lent a hand to the suffering street dog.

After finding the dog, who is now named “Buddy,” Sohan helped Animal Aid Unlimited rescue his sweet new friend. Buddy was critically wounded, with what appeared like a gapping hole on the top of his head. It was clear that Buddy was in need of immediate help and the Animal Aid Unlimited team and Sohan worked very hard to coax him out of his hiding spot under a table.

Using biscuits to lure Buddy out into the open, Sohan helped workers transport the little dog to their emergency ambulance. Buddy was given immediate care to remove the maggots that had begun to appear in the wound. Once the wound was properly cleaned and stitched up, Buddy was on the mend.

To thank him for his heroic action, Animal Aid Unlimited awarded Sohan with a certificate at school assembly. At the end of the speech, the Animal Aid employee read a series of messages that people had left for Sohan on the Animal Aid Unlimited Facebook page. The notes were all filled with grateful, heartfelt sentiments, showing Sohan the true magnitude of the kind task he had performed.
