When a woman’s sister found an abandoned leopard gecko barely alive, she knew she needed to help the little guy survive. With a lot of TLC and proper care, the gecko is on his way to recovery, thanks to his rescuers.

@ellenrutz on TikTok posted a video of an abandoned gecko that her sister found. She decided to take him home and help him get on the road to recovery. The gecko was barely alive and too weak to drink or eat. Ellen helped him by giving him water off of her finger, but he still refused to eat. After a few hours, he started to drink by himself but still could not eat. She was worried that he would not survive the night because of how weak he was, but he pulled through and was there in the morning.
The next morning he finally let her feed him, and after they got rid of some dead skin on his body, he seemed to be enjoying the light. She slowly got him used to higher temperatures and finally got him his very own terrarium. He began to explore his new home, but he was still very weak.
Then, one week after he was rescued, he finally caught food by himself for the very first time.
@ellenrutz Update on Leo 🦎❤️ #abandonedanimal #leopardgecko #animallover #grateful #gecko #animals #animalrescue
In an update video about Leo, the gecko’s new name, Ellen showed users his feeding him and how much stronger he has gotten since his rescue. She can tell how much better he feels and how much stronger he is getting every day.
We are sure that Leo is incredibly grateful for Ellen and everything she has done for him. She gave Leo a second chance at life, and we are sure that is incredibly rewarding for both of them.
