Meet Rammie Baa Baa, an adorable sheep suffering from a condition that’s incredibly rare and rarely ever seen in his species. When Rammie Baa Baa arrived at Edgar’s Mission, his scrotum was swollen to a massive 40 kilo (88lbs) burden. It was incredibly painful for the poor sheep and was dragging between his back legs.

The Mission also found that Rammie was blind due to a difficult birth, which took the life of his mother. He also arrived with heavy and overgrown fleece, and there were many grass seeds burrowed deep on his skin, causing him a huge discomfort. The team worked with clippers and courage to take this weight off Rammie, and the rescue said that he stood there calm for over an hour as the team worked on removing his coat. The sanctuary said in a Facebook post that it was clear that Rammie knew they were helping him.
Edgar’s Mission quickly began to develop a plan and brought in two veterinary clinics to consult the rare condition of his scrotum. Finally, Rammie was booked for surgery to remove the mass. The surgery lasted over four hours, but finally, Rammie was free. When he woke up, he felt like a whole new sheep!

Now, he loves to roam and graze in fields with his sheep friends, Aroha and Miss Taken, who are also blind.
