Kal Penn is starring in a new exclusive Bloomberg show about climate, clean energy, and business. “Getting Warmer With Kal Penn” follows Penn as he takes a close look at bold climate solutions and finds new facets of the global transition to clean energy.
Penn works through the overwhelming news about Climate change and breaks down the facts and trends to better understand what is actually happening. He discusses why the recycling symbols on plastic cups are misleading, how carbon credits work and if they are actually helping, and what the future of water is in a drought-ridden world.
Throughout the episodes, Penn meets with innovators, researchers, communities, and businesses that are working to come up with new energy solutions and low-carbon technologies. In the segments, Penn speaks to the self-declared “crypto cowboys” of Texas who says that bitcoin mining can help stabilize the state’s electric grid. He travels to Nevada to visit the company that is trying to build the world’s first closed-loop supply chain for electric vehicles. He also ventures to New York to explore urban designs proposed to save the city from the next Superstorm Sandy and even goes inside the Empire State building to investigate the challenges of decarbonizing cities and landmarks.
Through contributions from Bloomberg Green’s award-winning team of climate journalists and London-based climate storytellers Jack Harries and Alice Aedy, Penn works through the pressing questions of the state of our world.
“Getting Warmer With Kal Penn,” is available to stream on Bloomberg channels on Connected TV Devices including Samsung TV+, LG Channels, and Fire TV, and on Bloomberg.com.
