An adorable dog was rescued on the side of a busy freeway by his brand-new family. These brave and kind humans stopped on the side of the freeway to save the straggly dog and named him Freeway.
They took Freeway home and got him cleaned up, only to find that he was badly beaten up. The poor pup was in so much pain, so they nursed him back to health. They opened their home to Freeway and gave him some TLC, and he was happier than ever.

In an update video, it’s clear that @rosy.creations has made Freeway feel right at home. Freeway now loves to use his dog brother as a pillow and can be seen resting his head on his new friend.
@rosy.creations We will try to post more updates here but he has his own page on Insta @ cheereroftheunderdog #rescuedog #elderlydog #puppy
Freeway also loves to wait for his humans to get home from work so they can finally play fetch!

According to national estimates, approximately 6.3 million companion animals are abandoned and enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. In the US alone, over 5.4 million cats are killed on the side of the road. If you happen to notice a cat on the side of the road, whether or not the animal is injured, safely put on the hazard lights and pull your car completely off the road before attempting to rescue them, says the Humane Society.
Here are the full rescue tips that just may come in handy one day, and while you’re at it, sign this petition to demand all states make all animal abuse a felony now!
