One of our favorite types of animal videos is unlikely friendships! We love seeing how animals can have a super close connection regardless of their species. Blossom and Minnow are no exception.
In 2017, Blossom was supposed to be shipped to slaughter with every turkey on the farm. However, she hid and was eventually found by a local animal rescue group. They contacted Abbie, who happily took in the 5-week-old turkey. When Blossom arrived in her new home, she was scared, confused, and disoriented. She found a cozy spot to lie down, which happened to be Minnow’s dog bed. Minnow did not get upset with the newcomer. Instead, he stayed by her side to comfort her while she got used to the unfamiliar surroundings.
Eventually, it came time to take Blossom to a sanctuary where she could be with other turkeys. Despite all the new turkeys to befriend, she remained in the same spot for three days. Her new home couldn’t compare to her old one where her best friend Minnow still was. Abbie picked Blossom up and brought her back home to her beloved Minnow. Reuniting with Minnow was all Blossom needed to get back to her old self. The sweet duo now spends their days hiking, playing with toys, and napping together.
