When we think of German Shepherds, we picture large, maybe tough, dogs; when we think of baby chickens, we imagine the exact opposite. So what happens when you put a small chicken and a German Shepherd in a room together? You might be expecting the very worst … but from the looks of the chick/Shepherd duo in this video, the actual results are surprisingly cute.
You might think that the small chick would be intimidated by such a large dog – especially one who appears to be trying to figure out what the chick is using his mouth – but the chicken walks right up and gives the pup a few love pecks. After a few minutes, they seem to be getting along wonderfully!
We guess that friendship really can overcome even the largest perceived differences. Hey, if a Pit Bull can befriend a deer, why can’t a German Shepherd be besties with a chicken? Play on, friends!
