Kate Middleton has been accused of animal cruelty after using real reindeer in her “Together At Christmas” carol service this year.

Ignoring all criticism, the duchess posted the service on her social media, sparking outrage amongst animal lovers and advocates.

Animal Aid tweeted their distress at seeing these wild animals used purely for show. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals also weighed in with their concerns over the welfare issues involved in bringing live animals to such events.

Animals are not ours to parade around or use for show no matter what the intentions are behind it. As much as we may want to enjoy the beauty and majestic view of these animals, there are so many better, more humane ways to do it.

Live animal displays put wild animals into scary and stressful situations where they are uneasy and treated inhumanely. This is not only harmful to the animal but could possibly result in an accident or tragedy if they were to get spooked.
