Lando Aldridge is an adorable eight-year-old philanthropist who was working hard to help animals long before the pandemic. He (with the help of his amazing mom, Francie Ann) runs “Hats for Cats,” for which he makes and sells hats and donates the profits to the help cats and animal rescues. It all started because he wanted to help kittens find good homes. But with the coronavirus outbreak stopping the world in its tracks, Lando just found another way to help people and animals!

During the lockdown, Lando has been sewing masks and selling them to customers. The profits go to Sanctuary Animal Rescue and allow him to donate masks to people fighting on the front lines of the pandemic.

By April 17th, Lando had sewn 100 masks and raised $518 for Sanctuary Animal Rescue. On May 10th, he sent another $545 to the rescue organization. In total, he raised $1063!

Lando told CBS42: “I hope that I inspire others to help others and help everyone in the world. Any way.”

What an amazing child with a generous heart. He will go on to do great things and hopefully inspire others to treat people and animals with compassion as well!
