During these difficult times, people cannot just visit a farm animal sanctuary or even a shelter. Sure, people are adopting and fostering, but it has to be done in a very careful way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. These places which rely on donations from people have had to close to the public. That’s why Paw Works animal rescue and The Gentle Barn animal rescue sanctuary decided to let their animals visit each other instead!

They brought recently rescued puppies to visit the sanctuary and allowed them to roam around and explore. The encounter was recorded to give people some hope and joy during these rough times.

The video above is so precious that it is guaranteed to put a smile on your face!

Since the video was recorded, all the puppies have been adopted. One of the puppies was even adopted by The Gentle Barn founder Ellie Laks whose father recently said goodbye to his dog.

Chad Atkins, co-founder and executive director of Paw Works told One Green Planet: “Paw Works has always dedicated itself to being the voice of the voiceless. During the COVID-19 pandemic we have seen so much success with dogs and cats being adopted. However, there are still so many animals that need our help. In partnering with The Gentle Barn, we wanted to remind everyone, that big or small, the creatures of this world need our voice more than ever. And, that feeling of fear and isolation that we are all feeling during quarantine, is something that many of these animals experience everyday of their lives.”

Ellie Laks, founder of The Gentle Barn added: “The Gentle Barn is dedicated to saving animals who have nowhere else to go, and opening hearts to their personalities, affection, and magic. This is the perfect time to consider how we all can be more gentle to animals, each other, and our planet. Despite being separated, we can still come together to create more love around us. In times like these all of us, including our rescued farm animals, need a little joy, fun, and sweetness. These puppies sure delivered!”

Shelters, rescue organizations, and sanctuaries really need our help more than ever. You can help by fostering, adopting, and donating money.
