These five jobs are just a few of the most popular and most profitable options. They are all great jobs that allow you to spend plenty of time with animals.

Most don’t even require any kind of degree or formal training. They are relatively low-stress and can be started as soon as you wish.

Groomer

Working as a groomer allows you to be hands-on with animals at all times.

You could work at a pet grooming company, or you could head out on your own and have your own grooming brand. This is a very profitable profession as there are dogs that need to be groomed everywhere.

There is little chance for you to be out of work as groomers are usually booked well in advance.

This is a perfect fit for someone who is highly motivated to work with animals. It may take some time and a lot of work, but eventually, you will get there. The pay isn’t half bad either!

Animal Shelter Employee

Working at an animal shelter is an amazing way to work with animals. It can be sad sometimes and a bit heartbreaking, but it is definitely worth it.

There are several jobs that you might get at an animal shelter. You could be a basic employee who does small tasks like cleaning and attending to the animal’s basic necessities. Or you could handle bigger tasks like adoptions, fostering, and other activities.

The lower on the chain of command that you are, the closer you are to the animals. So you may want to stay where you are with this job to stay close to the animals.

This makes becoming a dog trainer a very appealing option if you want to work for yourself with animals.

It has the possibility of being very profitable and is very enjoyable as well.

You will often get to work with puppies and can help owners to better understand how their pooch works. It is a very fulfilling job that will keep you on your toes and allow you to play with all of the puppies!

Pet Sitter

Becoming a pet sitter is a fun and easy way to have a job around animals. It is also very low stress.

You can become a pet sitter very easily by either joining a sitting website where you receive jobs. Or you can market yourself and find jobs as a local pet sitter in your neighborhood.

This will allow you to have flexible work and get to enjoy the company of many different pets.

Some jobs may require you to stay at someone else’s house, while others will require you to take the pets home with you. It all depends on what you are looking for in a pet sitting job.

This is a great way to get regular work as you develop relationships with pet owners.

Once you’ve established trust, you should have plenty of work rolling in.
