Watch This Rescue Dog’s Reaction to a Visit From Grandma!

In a TikTok video shared on the account @annatherescue, a Pitbull terrier mix named Anna couldn’t contain her excitement upon seeing her grandma. The viral video, which has garnered 1.8 million views in just 24 hours, captures the joyous moment when Anna leaps up and spins around twice in delight.

Ava, the 25-year-old parent of Anna, shared her perspective on this amazing bond between her furry friend and her mom. She said, “Anna and my mom have such a special and unique bond!” Anna’s enthusiastic response in the video even led some viewers to believe they heard her say “hello.”

Anna’s heartwarming story began when Ava adopted her from OKC Animal Welfare in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Despite Anna’s initial shyness and reluctance towards others, she formed an instant connection with Ava’s mother when they first met.

The video’s on-screen text, “Anna’s reaction to being surprised by her Grandma,” showcases the dog’s genuine joy. Although Anna remains on the sofa during the encounter, her immobility is attributed to a series of health complications she has been battling since March 2023.

After undergoing multiple X-rays and CT scans, Anna was diagnosed with degenerative joint disease, hip dysplasia, and bilateral cranial cruciate ligament tears. These conditions affected her mobility and overall well-being. Ava shared that her mother’s constant Support during Anna’s health struggles brought them closer together.
