@meganandtherescues was having a rough week, so she decided to foster this tiny black kitten that was the very last kitten left in the shelter. She began to foster Vengeance when he was just two weeks old. The shelter was at full capacity, so they were looking for families to foster. All of the other kitten litters were picked up, and after over 30 rescues were contacted, the little black kitten still needed a home.
@meganandtherescues stepped in right in time to help the kitten and decided to name him Vengeance and decided that they would seek their revenge together on the bad week they had both been dealt. She helped him clean up his fleas, and Venegeance’s personality was instantly strong Megan said that every ounce of him believes that he was a big cat. Now, at eight weeks Vengeance will be available for adoption!
With an estimated 7.6 million animals entering America’s shelters every year, fostering is important because it helps reduce overcrowding in shelters and opens up space for other animals to be saved. It also helps prepare animals for adoption by giving them a chance to live in a home where they can fully express their personality, work to overcome fears, or recover from trauma.
Having foster kittens around is hard work, but it is so rewarding and very fun! It is something that will keep you up at night and steal time out of your day. But you won’t regret a second of it! As a foster parent, you will be loving, raising, and caring for the kittens so that they can grow up and find their forever homes.
