Trailer Accident in Texas Leads to the Death of Over 40 Cows

A tragic accident in Arlington, Texas, on Monday night, resulted in the deaths of over 40 cows after a trailer carrying more than 80 cattle overturned. The incident occurred just after 9:25 p.m. on the Baird Farm Road overpass above Interstate 30, according to the Arlington Police Department.

The accident happened when the trailer’s driver miscalculated the space needed to make a turn after exiting westbound I-30. The sudden turn caused the trailer to tip over, with 83 cows inside. Emergency responders, including the Arlington Fire Department, were called to the scene, and the road was closed in both directions as police conducted their investigation and worked to clear the wreckage.

By 6 a.m., the trailer had been removed, and some of the surviving cows were transferred to smaller trailers. Unfortunately, police estimated that 40 to 45 cows were killed in the accident. One cow managed to escape but was later struck and killed by another vehicle.
